Pickup routing on Boden Classic models

If you're planning to change the pickup configuration on your Boden Classic guitar, it’s helpful to know about the routing used in different versions of the model. This guide explains the pickup cavity types found on various Boden Classic guitars.

Current Boden Classic Models (6-string)

The current production 6-string Boden Classic models, made in Indonesia, feature an H-S-H pickup routing, which allows for a variety of pickup configurations. For reference, this is how the cavities are currently routed:

Discontinued Models

Older Boden Classic guitars had different routing styles:

• Chinese made Boden Classic models featured a square "bathtub" style pickup cavity. This design offered greater flexibility, accommodating virtually any pickup configuration.
• Indonesian made 7- and 8-string Boden Classic models (now discontinued) also used the square "bathtub" rout.

These discontinued models are no longer in production, but may still be available on the used market.
